On Wednesday week 16 every year, the Uniform at work day takes place, which is a long-standing initiative from the Home Guard. The day exists to arouse interest and draw attention to the fact that the Home Guard soldiers are in our midst.

"I have chosen to be a Home Guard soldier in order to contribute to the nation's security and protect the local community in the event of crisis and disaster. It's also about adventure and camaraderie, but also about the opportunity to educate yourself and learn new things. It feels good to be employed by an employer who sees the value in the Armed Forces."
